The British Theatre Dance Association is an international organisation and examinations entered are all recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, and fit into the National Qualifications Framework. Higher graded examinations have been allocated point on the UCAS tariff which means pupils who have passed these examinations can now use these results towards there points tariff when applying to University or Higher Education Institutions in the UK.

The BTDA offers :

Rose Award System is designed to build confidence in candidates from 3 to 8 years old.

Medal Test System gain awards from medals, stars, shields, statuettes and cups.

General Graded Examinations Preliminary examinations are available in the disciplines of Classical Ballet¨Tap¨Modern Jazz¨Lyrical¨Modelling¨Speech and Drama. Grades begin at Pre-preparatory and continue through to Grade 8. Grades 1 to 8 are part of the NQF (National Qualification Framework) and are recognised as GCSE, GCE AS LEVEL and A LEVEL qualifications.

Graded Vocational Examinations in Theatre Dance are the highest level of qualification provided by the BTDA. The disciplines offered are Ballet¨Tap¨Modern Jazz from grades Intermediate through to Diploma.
